About advertools
As the name suggests, advertools is a set of tools for online advertising and marketing, with a focus on search. It has evolved to cater slightly more for SEO, and it will continue to evolve in time.
The tools are created and maintained by Elias Dabbas and there are various ways to interact with and use them:
- Python library: This is where it all started, and this is the most important interface, as it allows users (and developers) the most power and flexibility and customization.

- Command-line interface: As and extension to the library, a CLI was created to allow for integration in automation scripts, as well as cater for non-Python programmers and developers.
advertoolsapps: This website! Many of the functionality that exists has been ported to a GUI in the form of no-code apps to cater for various needs.- Google sheets named functions: A set of functions that you can immediately use simply by making a copy of the main sheet, and you will immediately have access to the available functions. Simply start by typing
=ADV_and you will see the available functions, together with some example and usage. - adviz: As an addition to advertools, a bunch of
advertoolsvizualization were created to help create specialized interactive charts. Some examples are charts for status codes, racing bar charts, SERP heatmap (utilized in the SERP heatmap dashboard app), and a few more.
